What’s up with the modern Nation of Israel?

i’m not a republican or a democrat, not a liberal or a conservative.. i’m pretty middle of the road.

i want everyone to have a fair shake if possible in this life, but i definitely don’t believe in forced equality, that’s just not possible.

How is Israel an apartheid state? The West Bank and Gaza is self-ruled by Hamas, a terrorist government supplied by Iran after Israel GAVE them the territories.

If Palestinians can’t feed themselves but can afford to send toy balloons with bombs to target kids, who is to blame?

Israel is the only integrated state in the Middle East. There live Jews, Christians and Muslims with equal opportunity. Palestine on the other hand has signs at their border that it will kill Jews on sight and live in squalor while receiving billions from Iran to build tunnels and rockets.

Read the history, not just what the media tells you. There is no Palestine, never was, Israel was given from a British colony, they defended invasions from Jordan, Egypt, Syria and conquered them, then gave it all back under pressure from left wing Americans.

Muslim extremists concocted the idea of a land of Palestine, kind of as a stand in for the unified Muslim country (like ISIS). But historically there never was a land of Palestine, there is no Palestine ethnicity or religion or anything until well after the establishment of Israel.

Before the British you could say the area was part of the Ottoman Empire but that is a very complex history with many concurrent claimants including Turkey, Syria, modern day Jordan.

It would be akin to giving back the US lands to the Native American tribes - which tribes lived where isn’t documented, what year are we picking to set it back to as nomadic tribes and internal conquering changed these things all the time.

California passes bill lessening penalty for pedophiles having sex with willing kids.

if california or other far left groups in charge would push for making pedophiles quote normal unquote.

so it passed but has yet to be signed by newsom.

I did some more research in the bill:

Wiener says exactly what the bill is about: SB145 ends discrimination against LGBTQ and makes statutory rape committed by LGBTQ exempt from having to be put on a sex registry.

There is already a 5 year age differential in the existing law (a 21 having sex with a 16 year old is ALREADY okay with California). So this is extending it to a 10 year differential for LGBTQ people, making a 21 year old LGBTQ male/female having sex with a 11 year old okay.

The other thing this bill changes is the nature of the person that commits statutory rape, it will still be statutory rape, but now if an LGBT person does it, their "institutional oppression" makes them immune from having to be a registered sex offender.

Previous bills of his downgraded the knowing transmission of HIV from a felony to a misdemeanor.

Another bill he has introduced is to force language (1st amendment violation) for prison and police officials to use gender pronouns of a criminals choice. The criminal could literally change pronouns daily and it would be a violation of their rights if the prison or police can't keep up.

He also introduced and passed a bill in California that allows sex offenders to be removed from the sex offender registry on demand or after periods as short as 5 year after a conviction. Ninety percent of California sex offenders will no longer be required to register after July 2021. In July 2023, any sex offender California hasn't processed yet into the new tiered system (whether to keep them 5, 10, 20 years on the registry), literally, a legal review of millions of records in 2 years, they will DROP OFF THE LIST.

Wiener has something to hide, he is or he protects a child sex predator. There is no reason to introduce draconian laws that will remove sentencing on 90% of child sex offenses.

Obviously, the left has already made clear that pedophilia is okay, if done by their own. BLM organizer, Christopher DeVries arrested on six counts of possession of child sex abuse images. There is a growing conviction, notably in Canada and California, that paedophilia should probably be classified as a distinct sexual orientation, like heterosexuality or homosexuality. Two eminent researchers testified to that effect to a Canadian parliamentary commission last year, and the Harvard Mental Health Letter of July 2010 stated baldly that paedophilia “is a sexual orientation” and therefore “unlikely to change”. On topic:

10 years gap is way too much, that is obviously protecting and normalizing pedophiles, given the age of consent is 18 in California, the difference would thus mean an 8 year old child.

The "worst case scenario" is 17 with a 27 year old - clearly the age gap means that the older person is much more mentally developed than ANY 17 year old. If you are trying to protect the age differences, I'd say 3-5 years, that gives a 17 year old sway with up to 22 year olds.

It is scientifically accepted that most people's prefrontal cortex will not be fully developed until 21 anyway, so you could argue that the "impulse control wasn't fully developed yet". Worst case is an 18 year old high schooler with a 13 year old, some 13 year olds are notoriously adult. Anything that protects sex with younger than 13 is pedophilia normalization, something that has held for thousands of years, all societies have protected their young up until the age of ~12-14yo.

There is no sub-12yo that is sexually developed, most people become there around 16 and that was the lower average age range throughout human history, sure there were places where taking younger females (not males) was allowable but it was virtually never fully acceptable and was more about legally protecting the proclivities of pedophilia within the aristocracy.

With a 23-27 year old that argument no longer holds, you can drink, you can choose not to have sex with a 17 year old.

@TheListeners: Most of the polls on 538 right now are old, at least for the swing states, the "good" polls (rated above B) are several weeks either pre-convention or pre-Kenosha/Portland, the only solid polls are for non-swing states, they do have some polls that are rated B, B- or C which means lots of error, flawed methodology and bias.

Some of them are sourced from those ads you see sometimes "click here if you vote for Biden" - those kinds of polls.

The (A/A+) rated polls (Monmouth, Quinnipiac) for Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida and North Carolina has Trump virtually tied or at least in range of sampling error which is really bad for Biden. He needs a 5-10 point lead in battleground states, he doesn't have that.

Note that Biden is only up because his base support is virtually solid. He has a consistent 45-48% in the polls while Trump only has 40-45%, that gives Biden a small lead but historically insufficient to get over the incumbent. These are the "undecided" and "third party" votes and then there are some that "rather not change if it works for me", given the improvement in the economy, a lot of people fall in the latter category.

Solid Democrats will always vote for Biden, even though he's falling all over himself and stumbling through a very minimal amount of press coverage. The question is whether that will be enough, are independents and undecideds going to believe a candidate that has cancelled more events than he has shown up at? Can non-Democrats be convinced to vote for overtly racist policies, vote against their self-interest, vote for rioters and looters, vote for police defunding and changing the entire American history and culture through the 1619 project and other alternative histories.

@TheListener: It's hard to find out what's true and false these days. I have found many fact checking sites to be factually wrong and extremely biased.

#KeepUsClosed was a left-wing hashtag and keepusclosed.com was registered back then to an ActBlue donation button but then the kibosh was put on it when the AOC tweet started floating around. She also admitted herself to not respond to 'false tweets since there are so many' but on that one she for some reason did.

In an interview with VICE on April 22, 2020 (here), Ocasio-Cortez criticized the president’s calls to “liberate” various states from coronavirus lockdown mandates (here).

@Finkelstein: The President is only in the news because the media make every tweet an existential crisis. Even when he says nothing controversial, or makes a quip, they create a controversy.

The "you should vote twice" - not what Trump said

The "drink bleach and put a UV light up your ass" - not what Trump said

The "asking Ukraine for help with Biden" - not what Trump said

The "Russian agent" and "election interference" stories - proven false by the LEFT (Mueller himself said so)

And even if there is no controversy, they just make up one, like the recent Atlantic story about Trump saying something about veterans that is so far out of left field.

The media, on the other hand, are carrying the drool cups for Obama and have been doing so, sometimes literally for Biden. The last few interviews with Biden, they stated the answer to the question in their question, at another event Biden reporters give prepared statements which then are answered from teleprompter. Questions are given to "concerned citizens" or rather "BLM activists" to read back to Biden - one of them said "I’m just going to be honest Mr. Biden, I was told to go off this paper, but I can’t. We need the truth and I am a part of the truth"

And then if you go look at these stories, "fact checkers" say none of this happened (even though there is live video evidence) with vague claims like "BLM is not part of the Biden campaign" (even though they are a fund raising arm of the Democratic party, through ActBlue).

@James Brown: Most people that leave an organization like the Watchtower can see through the lies and manipulation of the Democrats. Why would you want to go back to treating people as victimized groups without agency and not as individuals? Where you can get "disfellowshipped" for saying the wrong things?

If you have a valid argument why we should vote FOR Biden, give it up.

- COVID-19 is largely gone now, Biden nor Trump have the authority to lock down states

- Antifa/BLM protests started under Biden/Obama, Portland has been ran by Antifa (they occasionally regulate traffic there, but generally form mobs to destroy local businesses for perceived injustices, shake down people on the streets for money etc) for about 5-6 years now. Trump has been largely successful in cities where Federal Law Enforcement is allowed to operate. It doesn't matter to most of us that your Democrat cities are overrun with terrorists, Republicans will be armed.

CNN just ran a story on the fact that it will be very difficult for Biden to win. The problem is that he needs to win over red states. All Trump has to do is hold onto his 2016 win, he could even lose 2-3 states, which is very, very easy given the current climate, people in the rural and suburb environments don't like what they see in blue states. There is literally 1 in 6 scenario for Biden to win, and it requires Trump to really, really screw up in the next few months.

Biden's lead in all the following states is thinning rapidly, it was 10 points a few months ago, after his VP pick, after the DNC, after Antifa/BLM burning the cities, it's now down to 1-5 or even negative. In the mean time, Trump's approval rating is 52% and has hit 55% over the last week, higher than Obama ever was. With Trump's approval ratings staying high, this is a win. Sure Biden will win the popular vote, but that doesn't matter.

Arizona: Probably blue, if Trump loses it, he won't lose the election

Florida: Unlikely to turn blue, they just elected a Republican for governor

Maine, Nevada, New Hampshire: Toss-ups that don't matter

Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin: Solid red now that their major cities are on fire

North Carolina, Pennsylvania: These are going to be the only remaining battlegrounds, Biden is even going off-script and saying that he won't ban fracking there, which is the opposite of what he said just weeks ago. I highly doubt blue collar workers will end up voting for Biden unless Biden changes his entire campaign.

hillary clinton is telling all democratic supporters to be ready to fight if trump wins.

other democratic leaders are telling the masses to destroy everything in their cities and cripple the economy if trump is elected president.

other democratic leaders are appealing to the military who support the democratic agenda to step in and stop any arm citizens on the side of trump if he is elected, and remove the president by force if he wins the election.. hillary clinton is making it clear to the democratic supporters, that joe biden will become president -after president trump becomes elected.. looks like a dictator coup d'état,to overthrow the usa government by non-democratic means is now in the making.

Hillary indeed did tell Biden pre-DNC to never concede (August 26)

But Hillary has been over the last few days warning Americans that they should "save our Democracy" and "We have 67 days to end this corrupt administration" implying that even if Trump loses, Americans should not concede the election.

Former President Barack Obama warned during the DNC that "American democracy may not survive if Donald Trump is reelected" and not to concede the election.

Kamala Harris said "There is no vaccine for racism. We have got to do the work." which is a nod that these social issues are larger than the result of the election and thus not to concede the election

You can listen to the DNC online, their entire platform is "Trump Bad, We Won't Concede a Loss"

Even Biden has been threatening with more Antifa/BLM action if he loses: “Does anyone believe there will be less violence in America if Donald Trump is reelected?”

The Democrats created the "National Task Force on Election Crises" which is contacting leading politicians from both major parties, military figures, star athletes, faith leaders and business executives, asking them to reassure voters of the results if chaos ensues (aka Biden loses) after the Nov. 3 contest. The task force also has meetings next month with big tech firms, including Google, Apple, Facebook and Twitter, to provide them advice and learn how the companies plan to deal with post-election "disinformation" on their platforms.

Then there is Issue One with the same goal, they are calling themselves bi-partisan, because they got a couple of famous never-Trump Republicans, but their chairperson said "There is only one candidate questioning the integrity of the election and calling it rigged." which we all know is false, Biden, Harris, Clinton and Obama have already called the election rigged already.

You don't talk about dogma, that will get you straight into a battle which is un-winnable, anything counter the official line is considered apostasy.

Make it about THEM personally. Tell them you were stumbled by an elder saying something or doing something and that you can't be in a congregation that claims to have Jehovah's spirit but keeps someone like him in the congregation.

Not sure if you know about any 'mishaps', perhaps a child abuse story in the news, or someone who is universally known to be abusive towards his wife and kids, could even be in the circuit. Every congregation has a set of people that are generally disliked but don't do anything "disfellowship-worthy", that goes for elders and everyone too. Even better if it's a CO that's a little too friendly and touches 'sisters' on the shoulder.

You could combine this with saying you don't feel the spirit in the congregation anymore, that the elders are allowing some vague mishap (reference to an action from someone above) with someone in the congregation or the circuit and that Jehovah no longer gives the spirit in your congregation or circuit and thus you have stopped going. Keep it vague but believable, ask them to review whether they are still considered good shepherds, tell them that's why Jehovah is punishing them and why the congregation attendance has dropped and your state is doing so bad with COVID.
